FTSE 250-listed Greencoat UK Wind (LON: UKW) delivered a strong first half of 2026, with electricity generation running 4.9% above budget and net cash generation rising to £222 million. The company also expects full-year net cash generation to finish towards the top end of its £350-410 million guidance range.
The renewable infrastructure investment trust expects its 2026 dividend of 10.70p per share to be covered by at least 1.7x, having increased its dividend in line with inflation every year since its IPO in 2013.
Management believes Greencoat UK Wind is well positioned to benefit from growing UK electricity demand and the continued expansion of renewable energy, with wind expected to remain the dominant technology as the UK builds out new generation capacity.
In our latest Greencoat UK Wind investor update video, Matt Ridley and Stephen Packwood, Partners at Schroders Greencoat, discuss the trust’s operations, H1 2026 financial performance, dividend outlook, the UK wind market and the company’s long-term growth strategy.
