B.P. Marsh & Partners, the AIM-quoted venture capital investor in early-stage financial services businesses, delivered a strong full-year trading update, driven by profitable disposals and continued expansion of its insurance-focused portfolio. The group generated £30.7mn of proceeds from two exits, representing a significant uplift on the £1.9mn originally invested, while completing eight new investments and deploying further follow-on capital into existing holdings. This steady deal flow, alongside a growing pipeline of opportunities, underlines the company’s ability to source and scale niche financial services businesses.
Despite this activity, group funds fell to £49.5mn as capital was recycled into new opportunities, though the balance sheet remains debt-free and the loan book expanded meaningfully to £40.8mn. Shareholder returns remain a key focus, with £8mn paid in dividends during the year and plans to increase distributions to £13mn in FY2027. Overall, the update highlights a business benefiting from strong realisations and cash generation, while continuing to reinvest actively to sustain future growth.
