Andrada Mining Limited set out plans to accelerate growth in its tin production, highlighting a combination of operational upgrades and new ore supply as key drivers of near-term expansion at its Uis mine in Namibia. Central to this strategy is the commissioning of an additional processing plant and access to higher-grade feedstock from nearby deposits, which together are expected to materially increase throughput and improve margins.
The company said the new supply agreement could deliver up to 240,000 tonnes of ore annually at attractive grades, supporting a rapid ramp-up in output once the plant is fully operational. Management framed the move as part of a broader push to establish a scalable critical minerals hub, positioning tin, increasingly viewed as a strategic metal for electronics and energy transition technologies, at the core of its growth strategy. Overall, the update points to a business moving from steady production gains towards a more accelerated expansion phase, underpinned by infrastructure investment and resource optimisation.
