AGM Statement

At the Annual General Meeting of Personal Group, to be held today at 10:00am at John Ormond House, 899 Silbury Boulevard, Milton Keynes, MK9 3XL, Martin Bennett, Chairman of the Company, will make the following statement:

“Having entered 2023 on the front foot, I am pleased to report on a positive start to trading. The strong performance in insurance sales seen in the last quarter of 2022 has continued into the first quarter of 2023 and we remain on track to meet full-year expectations.

“Amidst an uncertain wider environment, the need for organisations to look after their people has never been more important. Whilst we have planned for 2023 to be another difficult year for the economy, we are confident our offer resonates with our target markets, and we will continue to see growth over the forthcoming years.

“We continue to be laser focused on our strategic objectives. The investments we have made in sales, marketing and technology continue to bear fruit, through the number of new clients we are engaging with and delivering for. We look forward to making further progress in the coming months, bolstered by a growing insurance order book, the imminent launch of the next generation of our Hapi platform and an expanded Pay and Reward offering.

“We have announced this morning that following eight years with the Group, Group Chief Executive Deborah Frost will be retiring from her position and the Board at the end of the year. Deborah has led the expansion of the business and leaves the Group on a strong footing and we wish her all the very best with her portfolio career. We are delighted to welcome Paula Constant as our incoming Group Chief Executive Designate, confident that we have found in her an equally talented and committed leader to take Personal Group on to its next stage of growth.”
